Religious Education classes for PreK (3,4,5 yr olds) through 8th Grade meet on Sundays from 10:30-11:30 AM and strive to:
- To develop in the students a sense of wonder and awe for God’s creation, a familiarity with prayer and worship, and a spirit of ever deepening friendship with Jesus.
- To provide students with essential knowledge of the content of their faith so that they may understand what it means to be Catholic.
- To enable the students to deepen their experience, to better understand, and to participate more fully in the Sacraments of the Holy Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation.
- To register for Religious Education classes, you may register on-line or download a printed form from the website and return them along with the registration fee to the church office. You may also place the forms in the collection basket at weekend Mass. New families registering will need to provide copies of their children’s Baptismal certificates. To register on-line or to print forms, please go to the Religious Education Tab- Registration Forms.
Date for First Holy Communion in English for all prepared 2nd graders of the parish is set for Saturday, May 6, 2017. Dates for First Reconciliation are being arranged. Confirmation date will be in the late spring, but is set by the Diocese. Mid-to-late May is possible, but not set. We will pass on the date as soon as the Diocese informs us, but do not expect the date to be set before the end of January.
Our class schedule for the year is also listed under the Religious Education Tab.
